LOVE'S BETTER LEFT UNDONE

Jose Antonio Cangco

I looked for love in my heart,
Where you said affections stay,
Like joy and smile not apart
Which I've shown you every day;

My feelings are here for you,
Sweet dreams and all whose presence
I cherish; the things you do,
Bring back bliss to existence.

The night, so pretty and true,
Makes me think, makes me impart
That life's nothing without you,
If I'll lose you in my heart;

So, please say to me again,
Where roses are, shines the sun,
And glories are not in vain,
And love's better left undone.
